Much like life, I find myself alternating between a concrete plan, design and concept and immediate and spontaneous expression. Therein my work lies in keeping with its core philosophy. I can’t say that there exists a technique that I am not fond of, though there are those that I prefer, and they are discernable within my body of work. Often choosing and alternating between different vehicles of expression is viewed as directionless or unfocused. However, as I see it, why would anyone want to confine themselves to a stagnant existence of repetition? I would, if I could, and will try my hand at every art form that exists, except maybe dance (no one wants to see that.) |
